Having a dream isn't a crime. Wasting years of your life and thousands of dollars of your parents' money on that dream and flying into rages at anyone who doesn't understaaaaand? Being unwilling to take even a part-time job because it would interfere with your creativity? Refusing to make any plans for your future except being a rich and famous artist with hordes of screaming fans?

I suppose that's not a crime, but it's a horrible thing to do to your family and friends. And to yourself.
