SJ = Social Justice W = Warriors. Their the ones who decided it was their place to call out, as they put it, anyone who doesn't the line they've decided to draw in fandom as per what their ideas are concerning misogyny, racism, ableism, whatever -ism you have in mind. They take no prisoners once they've decided you've crossed that line, even if you didn't.

I've seen them go after people who literally did nothing wrong but of them decided otherwise and sicced their friends on them. They dogpile you and harass you and it can go on for a long time.

I've seen them years later still saying so and so's a racist, etc. even after than person had apologized. they're fond of saying it's not about the person, it's about the context, tip of the iceberg, etc. They also like to talk about second chances but they lie through their teeth--see about statement about talking trash about someone yrs later.

Oh, yeah, and if you tell them not to be rude to you, ie. not to call you names, instead of that being a personal boundary you've drawn to protect your mental health, they call it the tone argument and say you don't get to dictate how someone expresses their anger towards you. Get that?

You need to suck it up and accept you're trash and that it's okay for people to tell you to crawl across live plugs (to electrocute you), to go kill yourself, to fuck off, etc. After all, you're in the wrong..even if you aren't.

They make fandom miserable for people who need escapism and fun. While is there room and a need to exploration of these issues in media, these people turn people take it to an extreme and are fanatics.

They're usually white and I've seen POC tell them off for their white-knighting yet they keep doing it and even tell POC that they're wrong for their opinions concerning the -ism under discussion even it does directly concern them.

From what I've seen, most SJ warriors who carry shit on like that it's when the person in question is a repeat offender and when they do apologise, it's a fauxpologetic "I'm sorry you were offended" kind of deal. And SJ warriors who talk over the POCs get called out too from what I've seen.

Though, like I said, both of those are just my own experience, I'm not discounting anything you've experienced with them and it's maybe just that we've come across different sets of them.
