I'm surprised you were able to stick with it for this long. I gave up halfway through Skypeia, and I'm convinced that Oda can't write villains for shit. Arlong was a fluke that he's never been able to reproduce.

And when I found out that he later pigeonholed the only four characters I liked, I'm glad I quit when I did.

Man, this episode. I think this episode was the one that had the most mixed feedback of any OUAT episode. Some people loved it, and it nearly made one of my friends quit OUAT, she hated it so much.

IMO if you were 18 and in a relationship with a guy nearing forty, that might be cause for concern depending on the person. If you're in your mid-twenties, meh. No big. The age difference doesn't seem that big until you remember that the difference between 18 and 24 is 6 years, and that's a whole extra third of the 18 year old's life.

It's kind of hard to burst someone's bubble, but have you considered trying to steer them in the right direction with a bit of suggestive persuasion? Maybe make comments like, "Oh, GLaDOS probably would be a little less emotional about that" or, if you're roleplaying with them, have your character kind of question her behavior? I'm sure they'll get the hint without it being too harsh.

I've always been curious as to people's thoughts on whether or not it matters if a fan writer or artist you like is male, female, or neither. Personally, I like to know so that I (like the OP it seems) know how to refer to them, be it he, she, they, etc. when talking to other people about them (like referring their work to someone or something). I've seen people take offense to the question though, so I'm not sure how to address this sort of thing.

Clearly this is a matter of maturity, and sadly I don't think you can force it upon them. Not everyone likes to admit that they're wrong and some are control freaks, but let me ask you this: would you rather have a community that has a bunch of somewhat milder drama queens, or this single person that everybody can just ignore and go their way? If it helps, perhaps you can see them as kind of a joke, I'm sure they'll eventually leave if people stop taking them seriously.

If it were me, I'd ask them, "Okay, so if you were to run the fandom as you are already trying to do, what would change?" and snicker at their radical changes to the fandom- then again the internet is the only place where, half the time, I laugh at people's opinions rather than take them into consideration.

The SPN fandom is to you what the HP fandom is to me. I swear that fandom got me into things I've never so much as knew were possible before. I maybe had three or four real (and vanilla) kinks before joining the fandom... now I have more than I can count on my fingers and toes doubled and combined. And most of them aren't anything I'd ever admit to so much as knowing about aloud IRL.
