ARE YOU ME, OP!? DID I POST THIS IN MY SLEEP??

I love the Star Wars universe and I prefer the original trilogy to the prequels, but part of the charm of the originals is how they've obviously aged and finding the stitching in the seams.

What Lucas doesn't get is that fans love Star Wars not because it's perfect but because it's silly, fun, and has a lot of hilarious flaws.

I'd love to see a remake like J.J. Abrams did with Star Trek. I think if the story were taken more seriously than I think it was in the original and didn't overuse CGI like the prequels did it could be an awesome film.

Then after that they can remake the god-awful prequels so that they make more sense(Natalie Portman would reprise her role as Padme though)

It's fun trying to imagine who would be cast in the iconic parts.

Thing is, the casting wasn't terrible in the prequels (except Hayden & Sam Jackson) but Lucas just didn't give them an ounce of room to actually act. So they all came out looking terrible. I mean, Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan? GENIUS!

Oh no, I thought the casting in the prequels was fine. It was the fault of the director's that their performances suffered.

I meant who they would cast in the iconic original trilogy parts.
