I have no idea whether or not that is a misplaced modifier.

To clarify, were your parents having sex in your room, or were you in your room overhearing them having sex? Because one is so much creepier than the other.

They were having sex in my room while I was watching it in the den; they were drunk and thought it was their room they were in.
