That's kinda what I see in their relationship as well, which is one of the interesting things about it - it's a father/daughter trip through time and space, as opposed to boyfriend/girlfriend, two mates on an intergalactic road trip, or brother and sister, which is what we've gotten from the other companions.

I love David Tennant, but I really wish we could have gotten another series or two with Christopher Eccelston.

More Eccleston seasons would have been the best thing ever. I always wonder what turn the series would have taken if he agreed to working on more episodes. But there's no way he'd ever come back even for a "The Three Doctors" type special though.

But I also think more of 9 holding babies, future villain/dictator babies, and talking to them is a great idea. It would never live up to my expectations.
