Okay, yes, that's really screwed up. There are definitely parts of the Sherlock fandom I do not venture towards. However, this can be said true of ANY fandom. There will always be the ones who take everything out of proportion and do very stupid things and make the (majority) rest of us look bad. But at least I know this fandom recognizes when these things happen and comments on how it's wrong/bad/stupid or fights against them when possible, rather than letting it go unnoticed.
