Actually those poses are pretty plausible. Impractical, but plausible. It depends on what the angle of the floor is.

Well, maybe Yomiko's -- looks like they Liefelded the fuck out of Nancy to get a shot of her cleavage in there. You probably wouldn't be able to see her chest if she was a real person holding that pose.

Ah, the good ol' ass&tits shot. Because why have realistic poses where you'd just get one, when you can bend 'em around and see *both*?!

And what's wrong with ass and tits? The character flashing them is a designated femme fatale, so it makes sense that she's comfortable with showing off her body.

Agreed. Nothing made sense, and the 'shoutouts' to authors and musicians were badly informed. I wanted to hit Yomiko for not understanding that human beings in trouble are probably a priority over books, and Nancy's betrayal at the end came out of nowhere. I wanted more powers and more story not 'flying thing crash things go boom Yomiko bad at people'.

TV show or OVA? I thought the original OVA was pretty good, but the TV show was just bleh

How so? It's not acclaimed enough like Cowboy Bebop or popular enough like Naruto to be overrated. Sure, it might not be your thing. But overrated isn't a definition that would fit Read Or Die.

It doesn't have the same cult status as Cowboy Bebop and it's not as popular like Naruto, but back when it aired everyone knew about the show and it got a lot of praise and it had a lot of fans.
That's why I said the series was overrated. It hasn't aged well.

That's her outfits fault really.

In fairness, she's the femme fatale of the series, so at least her emphasized bust outfit is by design. If still admittedly impractical.

Nancy/Yomiko was the first yuri pairing I ever shipped, so this secret makes me all nostalgic. ♥

whoa, flashback. I totally remember watching the OVA when I was like 10 or 11 years old (adult swim showed it once) and after it was done, I was like "Wait, did those girls like each other?" . It confused me for days because I had never really thought about things like that. In fact, that's really the only thing I remember about it. Maybe I should give it another watch.
