JFC how are their bodies twisting like that.

[identity profile] insanenoodlyguy.livejournal.com 2012-03-02 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Actually those poses are pretty plausible. Impractical, but plausible. It depends on what the angle of the floor is.
ext_81845: kai shiden w/ an awkward expression, from the manga gundam: the origin (awkward)

Well, maybe Yomiko's -- looks like they Liefelded the fuck out of Nancy to get a shot of her cleavage in there. You probably wouldn't be able to see her chest if she was a real person holding that pose.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 01:36 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, the good ol' ass&tits shot. Because why have realistic poses where you'd just get one, when you can bend 'em around and see *both*?!

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
And what's wrong with ass and tits? The character flashing them is a designated femme fatale, so it makes sense that she's comfortable with showing off her body.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
lol

I'll just leave this here.

Uh, I know you're trying to make a point and all by showing that girls who have cleavage are ~bad feminists~ and all. But Nancy was never meant to be an icon that every woman should strive towards. She was just a character like Yomiko, who dresses rather modestly in comparison. Neither of these women are wrong in how they dress, and it's ridiculous to assume that just because someone enjoys wearing revealing clothes means they're shaming other women or are bad role models who are "supporting the patriarchy".

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 04:07 am (UTC)(link)
da

But she's both written and animated and designed by men, specifically to market the series toward boys. Do you seriously not understand how this works?

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
lol you're so cute with your strawmen

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
"Uh, I know you're trying to make a point and all by showing that girls who have cleavage are ~bad feminists~ and all."

Is that seriously what you got from that link? Wow.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
Nope, that's what I got from the person above trying to relate that link to the character from Read or Die. Which is stupid, since she's not an example of that.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 04:27 pm (UTC)(link)
You are very confusing. Or confused. Someone commented on the t&a unnatural pose, you (or other anon) jumped in saying it's okay for ladies to pose naturally and show both t&a because they're femme fatals, someone linked to a comic all about that ridiculous notion, and you say it has nothing to do with anything.

Really the only thing that's random is the talk about clothing.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
You need to learn reading comprehension yourself. Someone responded to the original anon because of the way they were slutshaming the woman in the photo because of the way she was posed and dressed. Then a few other anons decided to jump the gun and say how she's supporting the patriarchy because the creator is a man and therefore the character can't have any worth other than to be fanservice for men and how degrading that is. Which is filled with unfortunate implications in of itself.

[identity profile] joules-burn.livejournal.com 2012-03-02 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
That's pretty hilarious. The anon above was commenting on the ass an tit shot phenomenon which Nancy is using in an over the top manner. They were replied to by people jumping the gun thinking everyone is automatically having a problem with how they dress. I don't care how they dress. But that cleavage is coming out of her neck like turkey giblets.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
And your point? Why is it so bothersome to you that someone else has cleavage? Grow up.

[identity profile] joules-burn.livejournal.com 2012-03-02 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Seriously? I'm making fun of the pose and anatomical stretches being made to achieve it. I think her outfit is pretty kickin' and her breasts look quite nice. But you can keep getting offended if you really want to.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 10:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I think the issue here is that her bosom was drawn in a contrived, unrealistic manner in order to make sure that the viewer would see it. As such, the picture isn't so much a normal representation of a beautiful woman with cleavage as it is forced fanservice.

The original anon really was just making fun of how silly the contrived pose is.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 02:47 am (UTC)(link)
This comment makes me sad. I'm going to pretend you're trying to be sarcastic.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 03:19 am (UTC)(link)
And I'll do the same with you.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 01:37 am (UTC)(link)
Well they're looking upward at an angle, so that explains some of it.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-02 02:53 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it looks like they're made of rubber, moving like that.
