i actually think there's plenty of reasons - in the real world!- to give a shit about gender, but this comment, in this context, at this time is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. TY for the actual laugh out loud moment, it was needed today.

of course it does. in this context? not really - or it shouldn't, rather, hence my comment. people of all genders are going to like the same fandom, it's inevitable. and nobody should be ostracised or segregated because of it. the secret sounds more like the op likes a fandom but is excluded because op is not a cisgendered female (or female in general, maybe), and there's really no need for this to be the case when we're talking about fandom of all things.

This. This times a billion. If it's fandom stuff I don't care if you're male, female, neither, both, or a dog that has learned to type. I care about what you ship or don't ship, the recs you can give, your opinion on plot points. Unless your motherfuckin' junk has its own motherfuckin' opinion then I don't give a shit about it.
