Ehh, once I realized they were doing that whole "these kids are practically the reincarnations of the first Vongola group" thing I lost interest. I usually liked the cheesy cliche stuff they did, but that pissed me off. :\

I haven't been reading it since then, but I'm sure you're right about it needing to go on a hiatus. And the bonus fandom reaction would be great. :)

Same. The creativity just isn't there anymore, whether it's new character designs or developing existing characters other than Tsuna. The current arc is totally fanservice answering fans of the Varia arc and the grown up appearance of the arcobaleno.

mte on tsuna. he's always been my least favorite character because i feel like i've seen his story played out about a dozen times in animanga :/ although i find hibari a bit of a non-entity too.

I feel kinda bad for saying this, but I just read KHR for the eye candy and not the plot so I never really cared what was going on in the story >_<

However I would not be adverse to a hiatus if that's what it takes to get inspiration to get a better story going, then I might be interested in what's going on. I can't imagine what it's like to have to release chapters so often, for some writers there is a drop in quality once the initial spark is gone. Sometimes putting more time into it is for the better.

Although I hate waiting, for quality sake I kinda wish most of my favorite Shonen would become a monthly manga instead of weekly.

But for now KHR remains an excellent source of eye-candy.

*sigh* I really love KHR, and I want to finally hear the story of the Arcobaleno Curse. But my desires as a fan are, of course, outweighed by the wellbeing of the author.

That being said, I really appreciate that KHR goes out every week, unlike some manga I read. And I really don't have good experience with series that have gone on hiatus (DNAngel, looking at you).

I also enjoy watching some wank go down too, but I don't think people would freak out as much, the fandom has mellowed out some.

Also since the beginning, we all knew that this series was pure crack, no one took it seriously even then (though the Battle for the Rings Arc was pretty decent). Although I agree that if we were to have something of a better quality because of a hiatus, I would not mind the wait--it's just that there are so many interesting characters who have a lot of potential, yet I feel as if we're not getting anything out of them beyond the pretty looks--which I don't mind, but yeah...

A hiatus can be good for a lot of authors to get the creative spark going again, but it doesn't work for everyone. I can think of more than a few manga artists who have put series on hiatus, only to have them go into hiatus indefinitely and never finish.

ngl, it peaked at the future arc, and then, boom, dead.

I just read it because it's pretty and it's nice, mindless battle manga, not because it has any depth anymore.
