I don't know any 16 year-olds but I'm 26. This is what I'd consider if a 16 year-old really asked me out:

- Can you wait until you're legal? Our laws are very tough on pedophiles and put complete trust on the minor. Kids are smart enough to abuse this to ruin an innocent person's life. I wouldn't dismiss their feelings but need to make sure I'm covered. So it's best to either hide it until you reach 18, or make it clear that you can wait and are able to let go if I end up with someone else before then.

Once you are legal and still have feelings for me,

- Can you settle down with me? Personally, I'd like to marry before I turn 30.
- Are you capable of settling down? I understand you'd be barely out of high school, so you need to make an extra effort to show me you're capable of making a decent living on your own, or getting an education that enables you to do that a few years down the road. I'd like to own a house with my SO. Both of us will contribute to the mortgage.
- Do you know how to behave in a relationship, or will you take advantage of our age difference to get me to baby you just because I'm supposed to be more mature?
- Would we enjoy sex with each other?

Those would be my first concerns, among many others.
