A real encounter can't be logged off.
This can. You can literally end it with one hand and two steps: move mouse, click mouse. Was it making you uncomfortalbe? Problem solved!
Comparing that to an actual fucking assualt is fucking insulting and dismissal and mockery seem appropriate.
This isn't even something like a legit threat: The Op's partner wasn't all "I'm going to hunt you down in RL and do this" this was fucking roleplay. THAT. THEY. KEPT. RESPONDING. TO.
So no. You don't get to pull that "things on the internet evoke real feelings" card. I'm pretty sure there has never been a real life assault case where the victim could make it stop whenever they wanted in a matter of seconds and completely remove themselves from the situation safely. When that becomes the norm, then you can talk.

But OP described a roleplay partner they roleplayed scenes repeatedly with, and KEPT roleplaying.
Which does not sound like your situation at all.

(Anonymous) 2012-03-08 03:12 pm (UTC)(link)this is role playing guys. usually if you're in a scene, you've agreed to be in the scene. it's not like your arm is being twisted into it. you both have to agree to the scene being done in the first place.
second of all, there's NOTHING at all that says you HAVE to finish a scene you are uncomfortable in.
christ.
it's role play. in text. it's not like there's no way to escape the situation.
say fucking no to a scene if the player's character (or even the player) makes you that uncomfortable.
this whole playing the victim thing OVER A GODDAMNED ROLE PLAY is seriously fucked up.
yeah, the player needs to grow a fucking spine.
