Wow... never thought I'd find a Black Magician Trilogy secret here! Sadly, I don't think there's much of a fandom for it... which is a shame. It's one of a rare breed of books that actually has a pretty main canon slash pairing in as well - will always love it for that. Plus the story is really well put together and the characters are great. Tell me if you find any kind of good fandom/fic out there OP!
