I've worked in the education system. Getting good grades has nothing to do with your ability to think critically about the actions you take.

Sounds like you worked in a fluff department. I worked in hard sciences. It's all about thinking critically.

Also, yes, the ability to complete schools with honors does tend to mean I can think critically about the actions I make. That's a large part of what that degree means, but thanks for playing!

No need to insult non-STEM subjects, anon. We might have a different set up in the social sciences and humanities, but we actually do quite a lot of critical thinking. Just as much as STEM subject, I'd wager.

My apologies. While I imagine the overwhelming majority of non STEM-subjects are very critical, it's the only possible way I can see critical thinking not being 100% integral to the system. It's the only way I could make the previous anon's statement vaguely sensical.

(Oh, and I did take a large number of non-STAB classes, so I got the feeling that there were a few majors with a bit more fluff than others at my school, but ymmv. Personally I did less critical work in those classes just because it is impossible to control every variable so controls and what not are much more difficult.)

Please stop pulling the argument out of your ass that "please stop judging my choices" somehow implies "I make my choices without any careful thought."
Some people see around the messages society bombards them with and make those choices based on careful thought and consideration. These people are not only the people who agree with you.
