I probably wouldn't have so much of a problem with this if it just didn't seem like an excuse to create permanent Dom/sub roles between the characters which, admittedly, I find extremely squick-y. That and the fact that a lot of the alpha/omega!fic I've come across tends to butcher the characters to fit said roles. And, well, the whole human-beings-with-dog-penises/self-lubricating ass-holes is kind of off-putting, too. And the knotting, as well, come to think of it, just isn't my cup of tea. So, all that on top of me feeling like I see it everywhere in the SPN fandom...


Yeah, I dislike it. But it's not my kink, and I'm pretty good at ignoring those kinds of fics when I come across them, so.

The large problem with many of these alternate worlds is that they change characters so radically that if you changed all the names, you wouldn't even be sure what fandom you were looking at.

This is generally the hallmark of bad fanfiction.
