Not in the fandom so I can't speak for that ship specifically, but I've had a few ships where I don't recall the characters meeting in canon. Sometimes even if they don't have any scenes together the personalities of certain characters just click for me, and I end up shipping them. I also like crossover parings for the same reason.

Katniss wasn't always a super likable character. But I thought she was pretty wonderfully constructed. So. Yeah. Idk. And I did like Peeta too. Idk. The secondary characters in general weren't well written because Katniss is a pretty self-centered narrator, I think. But I still think Katniss was a well constructed character even if she isn't always easy to like.

Buuuttttt... I wish she'd just work on one or two fics at a time. She works on too many. A few months ago the woman was working on like 5 long WIPs and she still had the time to write random one-shots and fest-fics and keep updating everything.

I think her stories would feel less rushed if she didn't actually rush.

Well, their story probably would have made for a better movie than theirs did. And I know, games and movies are different and a story that works well in a game doesn't necessarily in a movie, but fill in some details, make some minor alterations,,, it could have worked.

It probably would have felt sort of epically cheesy, or like an older movie, but I think it would have worked. Not that I hated the PoP movie, I just didn't love it, and I LOVE Sands of Time the game.

Still one of the better movies based on a video game.

There was a point late on in S3/early S4 where I honestly thought that was the way they were going (which would probably have ended up with Thomas going back to Africa), and it would have made JJ's S4 episode more likeable than it turned out to be (I love it, but I'm painfully aware that I'm in a minority with that one). But... eh.

I can see where you're coming from... it's scary to realize that a well-loved fandom you're in now might be shut down by a new favorite that's on the horizon. But it's okay! I figure, as long as you're having fun, it's okay to like different fandoms, even if you feel like you owe it to an old one that's diminishing. Just relax and watch Sherlock. If you don't like it, it's fine. If you do like it, there's no harm in that, either.

You know, I love Buffy. I've watched it since its literal premiere [because I'm old as dirt] and I had a few friends who despite the show being 'up their alley' just didn't enjoy it. And they didn't LOATHE it. They just didn't like it. They could admit it had its dubious charms, and wasn't a complete piece of crap, but whether it was the characters, the relationships, the cheesy special effects the snarky writing- or all of the above: THEY DIDN'T LIKE IT. Of course that was before the internet became the go-to place to have your opinions trampled by overzealous devotees, so we were all pretty harmonious about it. I talked about Buffy with my friends who liked it, and refrained from pressuring my non-fan friends. Seemed so simple back then.

Also wik: Buffy is starting to get a little dated. Even in the Joss Whedon family of shows, it's the older sister. It's a little out of touch, and if you're just watching it now? Maybe it was 'the best' because when it was on the air, it was the best. Or at least it was better than a lot of the teenage drama and brainless sitcoms airing in that time period. But the damn thing is 15 years old, and chances are, a lot of people aren't going to share your nostalgic ardor. And pretty much no one can accept that hype can and does ruin a show. OMG THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER WATCH WATCH IT IT IS LIKE GOD'S TELEVISION SHOW UTTER PERFECTION is effing annoying, and you go into it expecting to have your socks rocked off. And a show you might have been okay with becomes a blight on your Tumblr dashboard. Or whatever.

You go ahead and not like Buffy. I'm just one fan, but you have my goddamn permission to hate it if you want to. I don't think you're delusional, or 'missing out'. Buffy will always be in my top tier, but have I watched better television since then? Absolutely. God knows there's enough out there to keep everyone satisfied.
