Nothing wrong with it. This book was a great description of what a contagious, fast acting virus can do. If it left a strong enough impression that you feel the need to fight against that kind of devastation then the author did a great job. There's nothing to be ashamed of.

This is one of my favorite book series yet my least favorite book of the series. Not sure why.

Mostly commenting, though, for your second part- I totally agree. I love the book, and it's my favorite/least favorite at the same time. It's weird/awesome like that, I think.
