I'm sorry you see a lot of it, probably only on the kinkmeme, lbr. I find in other fandoms, some of it's bad lazy porn. But some of it's usually about how being in that kinda dynamic fucks with people's personalities, and how they come to terms with themselves, which is nice character analysis. I'm pretty sure however all of it's labelled and no one if forcing you to read, so you exercise you freedom of choice!
