No, I'm still active. I remember the comm deletion wank. I haven't been following LDWS, but wow. I think bad reviews can lead to wank no matter what because everyone has different preferences. Someone leaving a bad review isn't just insulting the author, but also the readers who like that author, so of course they will want to defend their own taste.

The top/bottom war will never die and is a part of every slash fandom, more is the pity. That's probably caused more division in fandoms than any other issue. It's ridiculous.

I guess I've just had the opposite experience in finding the H/D community to be very welcoming and supportive. I'm always perplexed when I hear "the H/D fandom is so horrible and wankish, etc."

I don't get the arguments over the top/bottom aspect. I always found it way more interesting when characters would switch, instead of just being consigned to a role forever. I guess that's just me but whatevs~

I've never actually seen it in any fandom I've participated in. Sure, people have preferences, but nobody argues that A/B is right while B/A is WRONGITY WRONG WRONG!
