Let's review. My comment was about how straight people (unlike LGBT people) don't have to worry about being physically attacked for their orientation. Your response was:

While they might not need to worry about it (unless you're on say, Tumblr), that doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

You're comparing gay people getting beaten (sometimes to death) to straight people getting called homophobes on Tumblr. One of these things is not like the other.
