This is a show I would watch.

You know what would be great? Have you ever seen the Buffy episode The Zeppo? Xander goes around on his adventure and in the background there's Buffy and Angel being all dramatic and wacky. I would love the show you described, but in the background you always see Merlin and Arthur off on their own adventure, but we only get snippets of whats going on. Or maybe the show would switch back and forth - one episode would focus on the boys with the women in the background, then the next would switch it up.

Dropping in to say a) "The Zeppo" is my single favorite Buffy episode of all time and b) YES that would be awesome, especially as Merlin and Arthur are famous mythological figures and therefore that kind of approach to their shenanigans would actually be really effective. :D
