Well, if you really want to do it you could always post the videos under a second penname/sock account?

Though I have to admit, unless it's a trollfic like My Immortal I feel uncomfortable with these kinds of videos. I can never shake the feeling that the writer is just a kid discovering fanfiction and writing for the first time, and just putting their heart out there when they post their fic. :/

Regarding My Immortal, I can't but feel second-hand embarrassment for people who think it was a sincere work.

Like how my Dad can't be swayed to understand that Stephen Colbert is not a real right-wing US pundit.

Lol, I know people who think the same about Colbert. I have so much second-hand embarrassment for them. Just... no.

Sharing the second-hand embarrassment. Though truthfully, I don't even know which are worse, the people who sincerely offer concrit and/or defend the author, or the people who sincerely flamed the fic and the author.

I'm not familiar with Stephen Colbert. Who is he?

Stephen Colbert--host of The Colbert Report, a news show with heavy political satire under the guise of him being very Republican. He "competes" with Jon Stewart's show, which is a show of the same nature where the host is very Democratic. Colbert used to be something of a co-host on Stewart's show, if I remember correctly.
