Holy fuck, this. It should just be common sense. Criticism, a rant now and then? Sure, can't begrudge anyone that! But I can't begin to comprehend putting that much effort into something that you hate, nevermind knowing that all you're doing is upsetting people.

And I swear to god half the time the haters pay more attention than the fans just so they can analyse and point out every little thing that they hate. And twist everything around in the process, usually. It sounds so ridiculous I feel like I'm making this up, but I'm pretty sure we've all seen this. I just don't get it.

This. And what I hate even more is if people start hating so damn much the moment it is announced that something will be released. Then, when it is, they go and see/read/play/whatever it anyway and oh, god, they end up loving it after all. Fucking hypocrites.
