This show is bad about this. House assumes everyone out of the "norm" is doing it wrong. Kink, poly, even going as far as to question bisexuality. And he ALWAYS turns out to be right and the world continues to suck his misanthropist dick. I hate that... not everything fits into this cis straight white male's worldview and he should be WRONG about the "freaks" once in a while. PEOPLE LIVE HAPPILY THE WAY THEY ARE.. um. sorry. did not mean to rant. it just... yeah. bugs me too.

oh and the other characters aren't much better either. you're doctors, dammit. treat the illness and stop meddling in their personal lives and telling them they're living it wrong etc etc. unless they're hurting some one, who the hell cares!

Chalking everything outside the norm up to disease/illness is pretty loathesome, too. One of the reasons I am not a fan of the show. Although the fact that the writing is terrible and incredibly predictable is probably the biggest reason.

It bugs me too. I used to love House in the first three seasons because the show seemed to revolve around the point that House himself was miserable, so he couldn't imagine anyone else being happy, thus he figured there must be something wrong with people who were "happy" with their lives. And the great thing was, sometimes he was wrong. Sometimes people were just happy! And he had to live with that fact.

But then that plot was completely forgotten about, and House is now just a dick for the sake of being a dick. He's an annoying, immoral, jackass caricature of his previous self...and it's just so...disappointing.
