Late, but anon, I agree so hard. This would have been a great dynamic to portray over the course of a multi-season show, and Arthur and Merlin could have been the supports - the fandom darlings as they are now, even - and their story could have been told just as well as it is now, while the 'main' dynamic unfolds.

What happened to Morgana's character is just a downright shame and destroyed this show for me for good. I'm still watching it, but whenever she comes on it's just another reminder of what character she COULD have been and--- meh. :(
