...I would have watched that, although I'd prefer it being made now to in the 80s. And hey! I get another movie, so my wish is fulfilled.

And besides that, what exactly is real Star Trek? DS9 was shit (personal opinion) and Enterprise flopped horribly. Movies are the safer bet for that franchise right now.
