I suppose one interpretation of how uncomfortable Joker's "advances" make Batman is that he's got some repressed sexuality issues going on...in my own head I still can't get into the idea of Bats actually being attracted to Joker though.

That's why I like the romances in general. What I love about Cymbaline is that it keeps setting up situations from the tragedies (Othello, Romeo and Juliet, Titus Andronicus) and averting them at the last minute.

I definitely see where you're coming from. After this, I pretty much began to outright hate Ciel. I never really liked him (which often makes me not know how I feel about the series as a whole, seeing as he's the main character), but I always tried to give him some leniency seeing as he's young and he's been through a really traumatic experience.

But the way the way he treated Doll, and how he laughed after seeing that the workhouse was abandoned... it was very difficult for me to keep reading, let's say that much. I can't help but hate Ciel, regardless of what he's been through. Little bastard.
