Your entire second paragraph shows a deep misunderstanding of how they set up the character of Kirk. They showed a pattern of behavior which was annoying to Uhura, and they clearly implied that he continued this pattern of behavior. They shouldn't have to show every single thing that was annoying to Uhura when they've already set up their dynamics. I prefer movies don't lead me around by the nose or hold my hand, thanks.

I think you're being facetious about complaining about to your friends about your co-workers as an adult action, but I'd rather know people don't like or trust me to my face. I feel that's more adult.
