OP: I didn't mean that I'm not good looking. What I meant is I just didn't look like the character. One friend who thought could help me out choosing what I should cosplay asked what were my favourite animes, so I said, "Cardcaptor Sakura". He instantly replied, "No, you don't look like any of the characters there." That's what I meant by "Never had the looks."
