The fact that you listed the actors' names tells me two things: First, you are a bit of an elitist trying to show off the fact that you know all of the actors' names, good show! But nobody gives a damn. Second, it shows that you are unable to look past the actor when you see a character, as in you believe WIlliam Shatner IS Kirk. The fact of the matter, though, is that the character is not the actor nor is the actor the character. Furthermore, it is an AU, therefore Kirk could have been Kinsey-5 GAY if the new timeline had developed that way. Stop thinking of the new Trek as a re-do, it isn't it's entirely different, it's supposed to be entirely different, I mean, they fridged the entire planet of Vulcan for Chrissakes!
