IDk I thought the guy who played McCoy did a really good job. I actually believed that was McCoy.

But yeah, the rest was just so..."bwuh?" It felt more like a VERY high-budget cosplay fan film than an actual Star Trek film. And I'm not even a big Star Trek fan, nor am I particularly attached to the original actors. But the whole film felt so shallow, and flashy, and MTV-ish. It was awkward to watch. As though it was written by someone who has a vague idea of what Star Trek is, but couldn't be bothered researching it beyond looking at the wikipedia page and a couple of images on Google.
