For me, it was the sudden jump from lightheartedness to dark and edgy. If there were hints to a possible world-going-to-shit in Jak and Daxter, I'd probably believe the change that occurred.

I've only listened to the commentary once, so I'm gonna go back to look for when they mentioned that. I can see how you'd hate a ret-con. If they thought of it from the start, I'd love it even more.

I just assumed, based on that one scene so I'm glad it's not happening. I'm kinda curious to see how Errol goes about it with Keira, so I'll try to finish the game quickly.

Yea, that was the one scene she saw. I didn't notice, but I normally don't bother with guessing how a story will turn out cuz I like surprises. Also, I'm usually more wrong than right.

It's funny how I guessed Damas' story right when there's a lot of blatant storylines in Jak II that I actually was not genre-savvy with. So when plot twists were revealed, I was all, "...I should have seen that coming. The hints were there and it was pretty blatant." We win some, we lose some. XD
