Well yeah, but IMO it should be treated like any other personality trait, not a measure of someone's worth. Some people find it hard to get along with stupid people for obvious reasons, but that's different from the idea that people are contemptible if they're not very bright. Also, they're different from people who should know better but who act stupid anyway out of laziness or unwillingness to open their minds.
