So, you're not allowed to hate a character because you just hate the character? There has to be some ulterior motive or deep-seeded issue?

Are you really unable to explain why you hate the character? "Just because" seems a little childish and unfair. Usually people will have a reason why they hate or love someone/something so much.

Even if it's just "they annoy me because...*some reasons*".

I dislike some characters for reasons I can't really define. Like Arthur from Camelot. I have no idea why but he puts me off in a big way.

nayrt. I can usually explain why characters, like Uhura, grate on my last nerve but sometimes you just don't know or you know and it's stupid. There's characters I hate b/c they have a lot of screentime and I can't deal w/the actor's voice (grating on my nerves) or mannerisms (too twitchy) or something.

Unfortunately, it's not just characters. It's real life too. I used to do customer service and I got this call and I just freaking hated him so much for that call. Something about the voice? I guess? He was nice enough, I did my job, and got him off the phone as soon as I could......it still puzzles me and makes me wonder and kinda pisses me off too.
