If it's something you're going to regret, then don't put it away. Do one final last fling. There's no reason to put it away. You can't be "too old" or whatever to cosplay. Who cares if you don't look like Sakura? She's a 10-year-old cartoon. NO ONE looks like Sakura. Not even those professional level Japanese cosplayers. Go have fun. I've got a Touya costume up in my closet so if you're going to Fanime or Anime Expo, I'd be happy to pull it out and wear it with you for a while so you're not alone. :)

It's great to want to save your money and see the world and so forth, but cosplaying one more time isn't going to prevent you from doing that. It sounds like it WILL save you a lot of tears, though.
