There's always going to be those people who dislike anything that gets popular with pre-teen to teenage girls.

As a teenage girl myself, I'm going to tell you, risking my place in the Order, that we meet Thursday nights at the center of the Earth and after performing some Satanic rituals, we strategically plot out our newest obsessions for the sole purpose of poisioning pop culture, ruining society and making dudebros cry so we can harvest their tears to- well, you'll see. Muauhahahahaha*~

(serious time: yeah, the whole "teenage girls like it"="it is a bad thing" phenomenon is really annoying and it kind of pisses me off how no one pays attention to all the sexist bullshit in teenage boy crap, at least not compared with the hate shoveled upon the Unholy Trinity of Disney, Barbie and Twilight. )

It's just one of those things that's never going to go away. Most everyone I know went through a period where they hated anything and everything teenage girls like, but most of us grow out of it at some point. In a few years a lot of those same pre-teens who love Twilight will be mocking the next generation for their Twilight and the cycle will continue.

It's the Circle of Life Maturity.
