There's going to be an increase in haters just because more people know what it is, but I don't think it will be anywhere near as reviled as Twilight. Twilight has so many bad writing/bad leading characters/bad plot/shitty example of a relationship/generally being boring problems that people have some pretty good reasons to hate it, and people who wouldn't otherwise care jump on that hate bandwagon just to prove that they have good taste. As for Hunger Games, it's not perfect, but it has pretty good plot/characters/writing IMO, so unless the movie's really bad it's just not going to receive that level of vitriol. I could see a number of people rolling their eyes and saying "over-rated" though, which is basically what is happening already.

Whatever, I don't give a shit. I really enjoyed the trilogy, it's one of the few series I've read back to back to back and I look forward to seeing the movie, but it's not the sort of thing that really lends itself to a fandom I'm interested in. I'd defend it's quality, but people saying it sucks isn't going to wound me on any level.
