Man, I didn't even know this show existed. Anyway, your mom sounds hella cool and you can tell her I really hope she keeps it up, especially if she's having fun with it. Who knows, she might be able to make an awesome new career out of it!

There are a lot of ways you can encourage her between seasons!

1) If you are a con going type, trying working with her on a costume that needs make-up. Design a few for your next conventions.

2) Plan on something for Halloween! Yes, it's months away at this point, but that means you can work on a killer outfit

3) If there is a local theater company or college nearby that has a theater department, get her to try to work the make-up department for them. Take classes if that will get her to join the theater department.

My mom loved to sew. She could work without a pattern and was amazing. She like science fiction and fantasy and read a lot of my books and would watch movies & shows with me. We'd talk about costumes and she designed a few that would have won the costume contests But they never got done because when I had time, no money. when I had the money, no time before a con!

Keep at it. I'm sure your mom would make a great make-up artist.

I watch this show with my mom as well. We both adore it! And we're so looking forward to its return over the summer.

I think you should tell your mom to keep up with the special effects make up even with the season being done. Perhaps your encouragement and support is just what she needs.

PS - Anyone hear anything about season one getting released onto DVD, or at least getting re-runs on SyFy? Now that season two is done, I want to rewatch the first one!
