(Anonymous) 2012-03-17 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)It's like the way people see Gale. Most fans judge him very harshly for his rage and willingness to kill Capitol people. But I feel like if all the fans were put in his position, they'd be pretty much the same as he was. He was forced to watch his friends and neighbours get killed in barbaric games for the entertainment of these Capitol people, got whipped to an inch of death for daring to break a rule, and then watched the vast majority of the people in his district get burned and bombed to death. If he was just a guy sitting at home comfortably on his couch, cheering on an army to kill innocent people, then yeah, I'd think he was scum. But wanting vengeance and going a bit too far because of the trauma he suffered? It's a different situation.
So yeah, I don't judge her by regular standards, either.
