That's... fat?

In entertainment, it's practically obese. That said, I think there's a movement now in movies and TV to employ people who are a little bigger than in recent years - I was pretty chuffed watching the Oscars this year, seeing all the different types of actors and producers, the fact there seemed to be more women, more overweight people (and even mid-weight people), and older people. It was less tiny-blonde-plastic than I normally feel it has been. (Which isn't to say any of those things are bad, but yeah, for nearly EVERYBODY in an industry to be largely only those things is bad, sorry. It wouldn't be any better if everybody in entertainment were fat and gray-haired. Variety is needed.)

MTE

People keep talking about Adele like it's amazing she's got this far "despite being a larger woman" and I'm like HELL NO SHE IS A NORMAL WEIGHT

for serious, I'm medically underweight and I actually don't look much skinnier than she does. Although in my case that's about bone structure.

By Hollywood standard, yep. Even Kelly Clarkson and Jenna Ushkowitz gets called fat by mainstream media, and their body size is pretty much normal/regular. I mean, you can see where they keep all their internal organs.

She also used to be a lot bigger when she released her first song.

In reality, no.
According to our media, yes.
It's fucked up.
