2. What a terrible fucking reason to play a great game. You should be ashamed of yourself. Play the game for the storyline, not for something like that. >:O

If that's the only reason you want to play the game, don't bother playing it. We don't need your kind in the fandom, thx.

Bah! What great storyline? It's overloaded with cliches and you know everything that's going to happen the second it's mentioned. Nothing about the storyline surprised me or was interesting enough to keep me interested in it. The only reason I played that game through was because I heard of the great mind-fuckery that'd happen later in the game. Things like the Man Festival were the only thing that kept me amused enough to slog through it. And even now I don't feel like that was enough to make up for the rest of the game.

Run for the hills, it's the gaming police!

... I got into a lot of the games that I play for similar reasons. Because I saw art for a character and thought he was hot, because I wanted to see something happen, etc. Later on, I usually grew to love the game on its own merit for storyline and other reasons, but the reasons that got me playing in the first place were almost never deep.

What a stuck-up, elitest attitude.

Amen! :D

The thing that pushed me into reading His Dark Materials was one of my friends saying, "Okay, but there's like a canon gay couple. Sort of." Now I'm so freaking excited for the movie, but I barely remember the "canon gay couple. Sort of." bit. (Not that I didn't like the characters and enjoy that part immensely, but still.)
