I felt this way about all the Garrus/Femshep shipping in the Mass Effect fandom. I was so sure the more aesthetically conventional alien would be the one getting the love, but nope, people really do prefer Garrus's sense of humor to Thane's distinct lack of scars and mandibles. Personality wins out sometimes! Whoda thunk.

ymmv, I find Thane's face to be creepily unappealing-- especially the giant black, soulless eyes.

Garrus on the other hand, has a cute :3 mouth.
