(Anonymous) 2012-03-23 04:59 pm (UTC)(link)No offense but everyone I've lost in life died because of a serious illness and yes, while we all have our moment of anguish, my friends and family completely changed the moment they found out they were dying.
I commend the movie for portraying that nasty side of dying because had it not been there the movie would not have been believable.
Those four men were a family and they understood what was happening and I believe James said it best:
“The sickness may be mine, but the tragedy is theirs”
I took from it that even though he was being a complete ass during some parts of the movie, he most likely did it to make them see that they had a life time to fix things. He didn't.
So yeah.. long story short, even for someone who says they are suffering from a deadly disease, I think you TOTALLY missed the point.
