from what i can gather from fan encounters and interviews, he seems to be a genuinely nice guy. i also watched a red carpet interview with him and the rest of the matrix cast and of out of all them, he was the only one who was nice and well mannered to the interviewer (even though he was a nervy and a little bit annoying). lawrence fishburne however- was a snobby condescending ass.

That's because Lawrence Fishburne IS a snobby, condescending ass. Just going off things I've been told by people who've worked with him, I'm think that's pretty much his default mode.
