14. What they call 'woman's inhumanity to woman' is just found in fandom in the same way as it is everywhere else. Female characters get called whores and bitches by female fans, but then other flesh and blood women do, too. I remember a feminist reading of Snow White that some cultural theorist gave on NPR once--the queen only has power in her kindgom because of her beauty, and so she has to kill any female rivals in her kingdom who might ever be fairer than she, if she wants to stay queen. But then, presumably, Snow White herself would also have to do the same thing if she wanted to remain queen, since she also only has power because of her beauty--after all, she only ever defeated the queen, and not the underlying system that made the queen what she was. ^^

20. I love Light as much as L, even if he is (or rather, *because* he is :3) a twisted neurotic little preening narcissist. . .and 'good' and 'evil' don't mean much in that universe anyhow. . .but truly, every time I hear someone defend what Light did as objectively right, or the world he intended to create as a 'good' place to live, a tiny anarchist in the back of my head kills a kitten. Please, think of the. . .you know. XD
