I could do without the making out tbh. Their chemistry in the movie was weak a hell.

I find it hilarious that Jen and Josh have pretty decent chemistry in interviews and stuff, but onscreen it's so absurdly flat.

I was expecting them to have great chemistry onscreen because of the way they act in interviews, but it was so damn awkward. Peeta's crush really came off as creepy and silly, and Katniss looked so disinterested (which I guess is accurate enough).

Yeah. The cave scene was awkward as fuck and I feel like Katniss doesn't really feel for this guy but she just forces herself to. It's weird.

...that's kinda the point. at that point, she doesn't actually feel much of anything for him, but, hey, it could save their lives, so she'll do it.

If that's what you got, then Jennifer Lawrence was spot on because that's exactly what Katniss was going through. She cares about Peeta and him surviving, and she gets pangs of "something more" here and there (why wouldn't she given being stuck in an "end of the world" scenario), but at that point in the story, her actions and feelings towards him were almost entirely fabricated for the audience.

I thought that was the point though. Katniss doesn't feel for Peeta and he is practically a stranger to her. I think they were trying to show in the movie that she has great chemistry with Gale vs. Peeta because that's how it is in the book. I don't think it came across all that well, but A for effort on their part. I mean, how do you portray a character that doesn't really love someone, but has to pretend they do to the satisfaction of the in movie audience while still coming across to the real movie audience that it's all an act? lol
