I feel bad for you OP, this stuff happens all the time and you can't help finding it hard to believe that people like him. So many people are vile to their partners and kids, but have an outside persona of being a nice guy.

Usually it eventually comes out, look at the celebrities who've been eventually outed as violent to their wives or kids. Steve McQueen for example. Not that it stops people admiring their work, but the truth of their character is at least out there.

You mean like Chris Brown? Oh wait, he just won a Grammy and still has legions of adoring fans. Even when shit does come out, people eventually forget or forgive, so it's almost like it never happened which is sad. I'm aware there are people that still hate him, but if you search him on twitter or tumblr there's still plenty of fans of him (not just his work). Shit like that sucks balls.
