What an odd, rather random secret! I understand (somehow) the WB!SH and BBC!Sherlock comparison, but why would anyone compare Amazing Grace to either? It's something completely different (apart from Benedict being part of it). It should be entirely possible to enjoy that film in addition to any of the Sherlock Holmes adaptation. And I think you are worrying too much about the BBC!Sherlock fandom, too. The people I have encountered there are perfectly able to enjoy Benedict in other roles as well without... well, whatever you fear they'll do if you mention that you prefer him in something else.
