And agree with the first comment. Kazahaya seems nice. Granted I haven't read much of that manga series in ages. I HATE when shoujo series like that bring in the "rival" who's a manipulative dick like that. :/ I get angry and then bored and then leave it.

I read about the guy on wikis, so I have no intention of reading more for a while.

Kazehaya is very nice!


And there are two rivals that show up in the books I've read (up to 10).

Kurumi who likes Kazehaya, and is kind of mean, but Sawako manages to find a balancing point with her, and they become rivals.

And the guy "rival" who shows up isn't even that much of a rival, he just misunderstands the hell out of things, spreads the misunderstandings around, and then backs down when he realizes the depths of what is going on between Kazehaya and Sawako.

I might be missing something, though, as I only have until book 10, and I don't have book 7, so if there's something else that I missed, sorry!

Kento actually isn't that bad of a dude. Yeah, he tried to get with Sawako, but he didn't know Kazehaya was actually interested in her. He just thought Kazehaya was hanging around her to be nice and was getting her hopes up for nothing. When he realized that wasn't true, he stopped. This is assuming you meant him and not Kurumi, but even she has her good points. No one in KnT is a really bad person.

Yeah that's him. I guess the wiki thing on him was a bit colored toward the negative side of things. >_>

Kurumi...? I'm trying to remember her. Is she the one who cornered Sawako in the bathroom towards the beginning? And then that "yanki" (put in quotations due t the over all class view on them) girls came in and saved her? (i LOVED those two!! so much~)

I have to SERIOUSLY get back into this manga series at some point. Or finish watching the anime. I was reading it and watching it and the anime seemed remarkably close to the source material.

Kurumi is this one:



She has a crush on Kazehaya, and she was the one to start the rumors, but she's smart enough to stay out of it, so that people don't think it was her. She becomes friends with Sawako, to try and get Sawako to help her "get" Kazehaya, but Sawako refuses. Pin thinks she like him, and he "rejects" her. :3

I remember her now. I liked her design, but she sure started off on the wrong foot for anyone to like her (unless it's fans who like those characters right off the bat. i have a few like that myself).

Hmmm....I may just have to finish this series now. This whole thread has rekindled some of my interest. XD Though I may finish it in terms of the anime. It was animated fairly well.

Oh yeah, she does. Even now, I don't really like her, but I do kind of respect her- she doesn't try to "get in the way" of Kazehaya and Sawako anymore, and she has even (up intil book 10 w/o book 7) been protecting Sawako. Hell, when the guy makes a joke about how Sawako should date him, then Kurumi could date Kazehaya, and wouldn't that make her happy? She slaps him across the face, and tells him off. I'm not really sure how I feel about her anymore, tbh. I don't really like her, but I kind of do, it's weird. |D

You should! And there's a live action movie too, which I thought was adorable, but YMMV. ♥
